If you’re searching for the ultimate summer refresher, look no further than this Golden Watermelon and Passionfruit Juice. Delicate flavors, vibrant yellow color, and natural sweetness, this juice is perfect for hot days, brunches, or a healthy pick-me-up anytime. Not only is it delicious, it's packed with water and minerals to help keep you hydrated.

This juice combines the delicately sweet, hydrating power of watermelon with a touch of tangy, tropical notes from passionfruit. Here’s what makes it a must-try:
Hydrating and nourishing: Watermelon is over 90% water, making it ideal for staying cool and refreshed. It also has antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and minerals like potassium. I sometimes call this my natural Gatorade.
Easy to make: No juicer needed! Just a blender (and strainer, if you like it smoother) will do.
Naturally (and not overly) sweet: No added sugar needed either—the watermelon does all the work. Though sweetness levels can vary depending on the ripeness of your watermelon, I find that it has just the right amount of sweetness to keep it refreshing and hydrating. If you want it even less sweet, add a few splashes of water while you're blending.
Great for brunches: Its golden hue is as stunning as its flavor. Make an ice-cold pitcher of this for a brunch party and people will love you! It pairs wonderfully with my Mini Tofu Frittatas.

Golden Watermelon and Passionfruit Juice - RECIPE
Makes about 34 oz or 1 liter
Ingredients
3-5 lb/1-3 kg yellow watermelon (can also use a regular pink/red one if that's more accessible)
2-3 ripe passionfruits
Ice
Optional garnishes: edible flowers, wedge of lime, mint leaves
Method
Scoop out the inside of the watermelon and add to a blender. If there isn't enough space in your blender, make two batches and combine.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer for a smoother texture (skip this step if you want to keep all of the pulp). You might need to use a spoon to move around the pulp in the strainer.
If you are serving it right away, add ice to a pitcher and pour in the juice. Then, stir in the passionfruit seeds/pulp.
Serve in glasses with more ice if needed. Add the garnishes of your choosing (I recommend a wedge of lime to squeeze).
NOTE: Be careful with chewing passionfruit seeds. They are very hard and can be rough on the teeth. I usually just swallow them whole.
